Wendy hosted several events in New York City to promote the book, including a couple of singles events, a "Girls Night Out" at Bendel's, and a book launch party at MediaBistro.

She is also the co-author of Words for the Wedding, along with painter Andrew Chesler, published by Perigee, a division of Penguin Putnam, in 2000. Words for the Wedding includes a thousand quotes about love and marriage as voiced by everyone from ancient thinkers to contemporary celebrities. The book, which includes suggestions for ways to use language to personalize the ceremony and celebrations, remains a perennially popular wedding-planning resource.
