Wendy Paris has published personal essays in a variety of magazines, newspapers and websites, including
TheNew York Times, The Guardian, The Forward, Jewish Week, Jewish Living, Family Circle, Plum, Self, This Old House, thewellmom.com, and Wine Specator. She has read her essays on the National Public Radio shows Savvy Traveler and Splendid Table, and at KGB, The Dead Poet and the reading series Earshot in New York City. She wrote a personal essay travel column for America Online called "Retro Road Trip." Her graduate thesis was a collection of personal essays.

Her favorite essayists include E.B. White and George Orwell.
