Wendy has written about honeymoon travel, adventure travel, family travel and general travel information. She also wrote a column about tacky American tourist attractions for America Online and contributed radio commentaries on this same topic to the national radio show, Savvy Traveler.
Honeymoon Travel
She has focused on luxury resorts, spas, and romantic destinations for wedding magazines and websites, including Conde Nast Brides, Modern Bride, Elegant Bride, and theknot.com. Highlights of her honeymoon travel include visiting and reporting on Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands, Old Bahama Bay on Grand Bahama Island, the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong and Bangkok, Maroma in The Mayan Riviera, Casa Que Canta in Zihuatanejo, MX, One and Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, MX, and Las Ventanas in Los Cabos.
She also wrote about the Poconos for Bride’s magazine every issue for two years straight.
Adventure Travel
She has written about active travel, and active relaxation at spas, for magazines including Essence, Glamour, Muscle Media and Energy for Women, covering topics such as rock climbing in New York’s Shawangunk mountains, windsurfing in the BVIs, sea kayaking in Washington State’s San Juan Islands, mountain biking in Moab, UT, and taking the Thalasso Spa cure at Paraiso de la Bonita on the Mayan Riviera.
General Travel
She has done general travel shorts, destination features and service pieces for a variety of outlets, including Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Essence, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and Time Out New York.
